Worship Support

      The central event in the life of the church is, of course, the worship service.  We gather each week int he Spirit of Christ and seek renewal, forgiveness, inspiration, and blessing.  It is the most important event that we do together and it does not happen all by itself.  One of the important  supports of any worship service is the ushering.  Ushers arrive early and prepare the sanctuary for worship.  This includes tidying up, lighting candles, turningon the sound system, and making sure that everyone who arrives for worship is greeted warmaly and is given a bulletin.  If the people are visiting the usher should also invite them to coffee hour and invite them to sign the guest book in the back of the sanctuary. 

      If you would  like to volunteer to be an usher please check the dates below and choose an open date.  There should be two ushers for every service.  If you are new to ushering please volunteer below as usher and not lead usher.  If you have experience you may volunteer as lead usher or usher.
